More than three decades had passed since Italy last won the Eurovision Song Contest, but last week, Italian rock band Måneskin changed all that by winning the title with an impressive 524 points.
The other day, we posted the lyrics and English translation to Zitti e Buoni, the song that carried the band to victory. Today we’re sharing last year’s hit for the band called Vent’Anni which means Twenty Years. Enjoy!

Måneskin – Vent’Anni – Italian Lyrics
Io c’ho vent’anni
Scegli amore o diamanti, demoni o santi
E prometti domani a tutti parlerai di me
E prometti domani a tutti parlerai di me
I’m twenty years old
So don’t be surprised if, out of nowhere, I overreact
I am afraid of leaving only money to this world
That my name will disappear among everyone else’s
But I’m only twenty years old
And I’m already asking for forgiveness for mistakes I’ve made
But the road is harder when you’re reaching for the sky
So choose the things that are truly important
Choose love or diamonds, demons or saints
And you will be ready to fight, or else you will walk away
And you will blame others or it will be your fault
You will run straight toward the sun or into the dark
You will be ready to fight, to always seek freedom
And go one step further, always be true
Explain what colour is to those who see black and white
And go one step further, always be true
And tomorrow, promise you will talk about me to everyone
And even though I’m only twenty, I’ll have to run
I am twenty years old
And I don’t give a shit, I’ve got nothing to prove to you
I am not like you, giving your soul to money
The eyes of the pure see you are nothing but cowards
And go one step further, always be true
Explain what colour is to those who see black and white
And go one step further, always be true
And tomorrow, promise you will talk about me to everyone
And even though I’m only twenty, I’ll have to run for myself
And you will be ready to fight, or else you will walk away
And you will blame others or it will be your own fault
You will run straight toward the sun or into the dark
You will be ready to fight, to always seek freedom
You are twenty years old
I’m writing to you now before it’s too late
And the doubt that you are nobody will hurt
You will be someone if you stay different from the others
But you are only twenty years old
